The New 2020 Ford F-250

The New 2020 Ford F-250 is a heavy-duty truck loaded with connected technology and driver assistance features. It's a pickup that's blurring the lines between a work truck and a play truck.

There's no wonder why the Ford F-series lineup has been America's best-selling pickup for decades. When searching for a heavy-duty pickup, your selection comes down to features that best suit your family or work life-or both. Searching for a heavy-duty truck, but not sure where to start? Let's take a deeper look at the reliable Ford F-250 Super Duty.

What's New for the 2020 Ford F-250
While other brands have been introducing all-new heavy-duty pickups, Ford has decided to level-up the models that people already love. The refreshed 2020 Ford F-250 super duty offers several different configurations and sought-after options. The all-new F-250 offers a restyled front end, while the dual-rear-wheel models have their own unique faces.

Engine and Performance
The Ford F-250 already has a reputation for top-rated performance. In 2020, Ford improves the heavy-duty pickup with an expanded line of available engines.

You'll find the all-new 7.3L gas V-8 and the available next-generation 6.7L Power Stroke V-8 Turbo Diesel. The 7.3L V-8 is built to haul heavy loads every day. It's "pushrod" V-8 design optimizes low-end torque, while the variable-cam timing optimizes high-output power. This engine offers an impressive 480 horsepower and 4.65 lbs.-ft of torque.  The 6.7L Power Stroke engine has a new 36,000-psi fuel-injection system. It provides 475 horsepower and best-in-class 1,050 lbs.-ft of torque.

The New 2020 F-250 earned a four-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It has not yet been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The F-250 lineup offers driver-assistance technology that provides automated emergency braking and a multi-view camera system. It also includes a blind-spot monitoring system that even works when the F-250 is towing a trailer. Other available safety features include automatic high-beam headlights, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Trim Levels
The Ford F-250 offers six trim levels, including the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Each new trim level builds off of the features list of the preceding model. There are some seriously sophisticated features offered on the highest trim levels.

The XL is the base trim and comes standard with the 6.2L V-8 engine. Also standard is the HD vinyl seat trim, SYNC, a 4.2-inch touchscreen, and a four-speaker sound system. You'll also find a Wi-Fi hotspot, automatic high beams, a rearview camera, trailer sway control, and an SOS post-crash alert system.

You have the option of adding a blind spot information system, including audible lane departure warning, trailer coverage, pre-collision assist with forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.

The XLT builds on the XL trim, adding cloth seat trim, SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, and a seven-speaker sound system.  Also standard is remote keyless entry, an 4.2" LCD productivity screen, rear under-seat storage, heated side-view mirrors, lane-keeping alert, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and trailer tow, pre-collision assist, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning.

Next up is the Lariat, which introduces leather seat trim, SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, and a 10-speaker sound system. The Lariat also comes equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a reverse sensing system, dual-zone automatic temperature control, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Lariat is a great option for those wanting to add comfort and innovation to their ride.

King Ranch
The King Ranch stands out from the other models because of its unique style. It has a western-theme, which is very popular for fans of the cowboy lifestyle.
This trim offers branded leather seats, SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, and a 10-speaker sound system.
It also adds a slew of features, including:
Intelligent access with push-button start
Remote start system
Ambient lighting
Heated steering wheel
Driver's seat memory feature,
Voice-activated navigation system,
Rain-sensing windshield wiper
Windshield wiper de-icer
Wireless charging pad

The Platinum is the second-highest trim level and adds platinum leather seat trim, power deployable running boards, LED taillamps, LED fog lamps, adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering, and collision warning with cruise control. This trim is the first to include adaptive steering as a standard feature. It also introduces the F-250's wheel to color-coordination.

The F-250 Limited is the highest trim level. It combines utilitarianism with luxury, offering the 6.7L turbodiesel V-8 engine, a twin-panel moonroof, Dark Ash Swirl wood trim, the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System, and illuminated scuff plates. The Limited trim is the only one that comes standard with a moonroof. Inside, you'll find two-toned leather. Audible lane departure warning is also standard on the Lariat, which isn't even available on the previous trim.

Also standard are unique upfitter switches, designed to make it effortless for drivers to install after-market accessories.
So which trim should you choose? The XLT offers way more features than the base model while holding still at an affordable price. The Lariat is one step up. These trims offer a decent number of technology, comfort, and convenience features to satisfy the average driver without breaking the bank.
